Research in the Amendt laboratory focuses in three key areas.

1.  Understanding the steps in the development of the craniofacial structures. We use a combination of Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Genetic, Molecular Biology and mouse models to further our understanding of these key developmental steps.

2.  A commitment to teaching of undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral personnel.

3.  Coordination and development of the Craniofacial Anomalies Research center.
